Look for delays on Metro lines this weekend as single tracking on the Red Line continues between Van Ness and Friendship Heights. The delays have been extended to Sept. 8. Starting Monday, 40 spaces at the Wiehle-Reston station East Metro garage will be closed. Find more Metro updates here. (WTOP)
In other Metro news, as construction on the Blue and Yellow lines winds down, the organization is set to announce its plans for 2020 construction in the fall. Last year, WMATA announced that a summer shutdown would occur at Vienna on the Orange Line for repairs, as well as stations north of Fort Totten on the Green Line. (WTOP)
Church + Market, a development that will bring 116 apartments, 33,000 square feet of commercial space and a parking garage to downtown Leesburg, has been approved. Ultimate Archery has found a home in Sterling. The family-friendly space features archery dodgeball, which the owners describe as similar to playing dodgeball but with arrows that have marshmallow foam on the tips. The business was founded by two University of Virginia alumni. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)
