This weekend, the world got a sneak peak at what to expect from director Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984—featuring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine (we thought he died too), Kristin Wiig and Pedro Pascal—set to arrive in movie theaters on Friday, June 5, 2020.
For DC and Northern Virginia residents, some of the scenery may look familiar, as several parts of the movie were filmed in the District and its surrounding area. In the two-minute-and-24-second trailer, local fans of the superhero will delight in scenes of Watergate (0.01), Alexandria-based Landmark Mall (0:32) and, most prominently, Pennsylvania Avenue with snippets of historic landmarks (1:15).
