It is nothing new to find out that the computer science industry is the one that will provide the jobs of the future. The mission of Boolean Girl is to give girls an opportunity to get interested in and learn about the industry at a young age to inspire and encourage them to go into the field later in life, hopefully helping to close the field’s gender gap. Throughout Fairfax and Arlington, girls can sign up for this computer programming camp at different locations where they will be introduced to computer fundamentals through hands-on projects and then work their way into coding animated stories and games. No previous programming skills are required.
Age Range: 3rd-8th grade
