Reston Community Center Camps offer more than 100 programs and more than 2,100 hours of experiential learning opportunities. Students can explore the world of theater performance in the Young Actors Theatre camp with professionally produced performances at the end of the session. Creativity abounds in visual arts camps such as woodworking and mosaic glass, while the love of cooking is developed through introductory culinary lessons and cake-decorating programs. Mentally stimulating STEM programs range from bioengineering to robotics. Improved physical health and stamina are promoted through rock climbing, parkour and swordsmanship offerings. New in 2018 are camps that support the recreation needs of children with autism with We Rock the Spectrum, and children interested in animals and their care through Pawtopia.
