Through this summer work experience, Virginia State Parks is looking to hone the skills of our future generation’s environmental stewards. During the three-week residential program, crewmembers are called to work outdoors on various projects throughout state parks that teach them community engagement, physical labor and teamwork. Some projects include restoration and preservation of wildlife habitats, wetlands and stream banks; removal of non-native plants; mapping and surveying.
