A review of Koi Koi Sushi & Roll by guest critic, 4-year-old Bennett Kaufman, as told to his mom, Ann Hsu Kaufman.
My mom and dad took my family and me to Koi Koi sushi restaurant. I like the name because it is a type of fish. We got the edamame. It’s good and salty. We also got the chicken udon. When the bowl came to our table, it looked like the noodles were hiding because I couldn’t see them. I like this chicken. My sister says it’s easy. I don’t like it as much as other chicken because this chicken has ginger, and ginger is not good for kids because it’s spicy. The soup that the noodles are in is good and salty, too. These noodles remind me that I am eating sushi next. I love tobiko (flying fish roe) because it goes POP POP in my mouth. The white tuna in the sushi bowl (chirashi) must be from an albino tuna. My dad has a SO BIG mouth for sushi. My mouth is not so big. It’s medium big. If I had to give this restaurant stars, I would give it 4 [out of 5 stars]. It wasn’t really good in the beginning because I was hungry and I was waiting for the food to come. But the food gets 100 stars.
