Just in time for Earth Day the beauty brand is encouraging the use of natural and ingredient-focused products.
This spring, go au naturel—no, we don’t mean skipping your beauty routine. Bluemercury, the DC-based beauty brand that has locations in Old Town Alexandria, Reston, Fairfax and Tysons, is launching an in-store Conscious Beauty program in April.
From April 22 to May 2, the program aims to encourage guests to select products that support a conscious-living lifestyle. Vegan and ingredient-focused formulas, as well as organic and botanically based naturals, are being featured as part of the initiative.
Bluemercury’s employees will be available to help select products that are natural, but still effective. Brands include African Botanics, The Beauty Chef, Odacite, RMS and Virtue.
As part of the program, when guests make purchases of over $125, they will receive a limited-edition Bluemercury Wellness Bag, including sample-sized products from HUM Nutrition, Indie Lee, Ellis Brooklyn and more.
The brand categorizes its Conscious Beauty products into three categories: vegan, naturally derived and mindful ingredients. Vegan products are formulated without any animal products or byproducts, and are free from animal testing. Naturally derived items utilize plant-based ingredients, and mindful ingredient products are made without ingredients that have been identified as potentially harmful, like sulfates, phthalates and parabens.
