Workout Recovery
I usually get on a foam roller post-stretching. A nice trick is a lacrosse ball. If you lie down on one and roll around on the tight areas it really helps if you have been lifting heavy weights.
Food
[My husband and I] live near Columbia Pike, so we go to William Jeffery’s Tavern and Taqueria Poblano a lot. I work really hard in the gym, so I try not to limit myself when it comes to food. I like healthy foods naturally, but if I’m going out for tacos I’m eating the tacos! I also like South Block Co. smoothies, juices and recovery shakes.
Gym Bag Items
Combat Crunch Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Bar to refuel post workout, m-16 Hydraboost moisturizer from Bluemercury, Clarins Instant Light Lip Oil, Oribe Dry Texturizing Shampoo and Cote D’Azur perfume and Coola Bare Republic sunscreen for outdoor workouts.
Activewear
For fitness clothing I love shopping at Chelsea Collective in Tysons Corner. They have so many different brands, and it’s all super cute. Another company that I really like is Vipe Activewear. They are an online company based out of LA.
IG Inspiration
My family is from the country out in Warrenton. So I do a lot of shoots on my parents’ horse farm. It’s pretty and makes me feel at home. Here I am wearing a top from SigaShop, a brand that two of my friends from home started.
Fitness
I take a class at the Arlington Crossfit called Crossfit football. It’s a major strength training program that a lot of field athletes use. I have gotten a lot stronger from that program. I do that three times a week and normal Crossfit five days a week at noon. A lot of people think you have to be really fit before you come to Crossfit, but you don’t. We have members who are 70 years old and give it their all.
