The American Field pop-up market is returning to D.C. this weekend, offering Northern Virginians the opportunity to discover one-of-a-kind, expertly crafted items from independent artists who are dedicated to both quality and innovation. The free pop-up event will occupy Dock 5 at Union Market (1309 Fifth St. NE, Washington, D.C.) from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. from Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
There will be over 50 fashion, lifestyle and artisanal brands on display, among them Ball and Buck, Anarke Jeans, Throne Watches, Brothers Artisan Oil, Shwood Eyewear, Printed Wild, Boneyard Pets and This Night. As an added bonus for those of age, there will be wine tastings from Virginia Dare Winery and whiskey tastings from Maker’s Mark.
Because American Field specifically seeks to highlight vendors with a forward-thinking, next-generation approach to living and design, NoVA consumers will see firsthand the character that ethical sourcing and authenticity breathe into fine wooden decor, thoughtfully stitched leather and perfectly aged wines. Plus, visitors and vendors alike can come together and connect over inventive craftsmanship in real time.
“With the ability for our guests to interact directly with the craftsman, they are able to bridge the gap between product and maker and engage in a lifestyle of conscious consumerism,” says founder Mark Bollman, whose premium menswear line, Ball and Buck, will hold a table at the market.
