Time to start chugging along; the 25th Annual Heritage Railway Festival is returning to Manassas on June 1.
The event has been around for a quarter of a century, delighting train enthusiasts, travelers of all ages and toddlers in conductor hats, with its focus on train history and the celebration of locomotive technology in the 21st century.
For $5 a ticket, attendees can catch one of the 45-minute round-trip excursions to Clifton with special guest appearances from a prince and princess, as well as a team of superheroes.
This year, the event will also gather specialty vendors with various types of train-inspired products and memorabilia, as well as host several model train displays in the Harris Pavilion.
Guests can check out the community stage throughout the day for performances from the Calico Cloggers and local Wildlife Ambassadors.
