Jimmy Potters Studio & Workshop is officially open in Ashburn

In its second storefront, Jimmy Potters will offer pottery-wheel classes and ceramics painting for adults and kids alike.

Northern Virginia is home to a variety of businesses offering kid-friendly activities, ranging from free play on indoor jungle gyms to sewing. And now, another business has joined the lineup of fun.

Jimmy Potters Studio & Workshop offers kids, teens, parents and couples a variety of arts and crafts, including painting pre-made ceramic pieces or spinning your very own pottery on a wheel. On Jan. 10, the well-known Fairfax studio brand celebrated the grand opening of its second location in the Broadlands Village Center of Ashburn.

While it initially was known for the mobile studio on wheels that can come to you, Jimmy Potters has since grown to provide in-studio workshops, private parties and special events on weekends for kids and adults. Several options available include mobile workshops for classrooms, mommy-and-me classes, couples-only Saturday nights and sip-and-paint classes for adults.

The new space—formerly home to Painting with a Twist—consists of several long tables, a wide variety of ceramics to paint, pottery wheels in a back area and also a dessert bar featuring treats and snacks for all the creatives.

In honor of the opening, the studio is currently offering discounts to customers, including $10 off to those who have never tried their hand at spinning pottery and 20% painting sessions. // 43150 Broadlands Center Plaza, Suite 182, Ashburn; prices vary
