If your child (or yourself) is a train lover, it’s time to fast-track your way to the Dulles Expo Center this weekend.

From Saturday, Feb. 8 to Sunday, Feb. 9, over 50,000 square feet of operating model railroads, 200-plus exhibitors and 100 interactive model trains will be on display for everyone to enjoy at the World’s Greatest Hobby on Tour.

Whether it’s by checking out the dozens of model trains (some even made with Legos) or catching a free ride on Thomas the Tank Engine, attendees can learn just about everything involving model trains, railroads and collectible items.

Catch demonstrations from traveling exhibitors and model train design groups, and give your kids the chance to learn skills ranging from carpentry and creativity, to electrical engineering and history.

Although the tour travels the country every year, it only revisits the same location every five to 10 years, so you won’t want to miss it when it takes a rest stop in NoVA. As an added bonus,  kids under 15 years old get in free. // Dulles Expo Center: 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center, Chantilly; 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; $15 for adults, children 15 and under are free
